The Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois extends its ticketing service to 100% Android NFC. A forerunner in mobile contactless ticketing, the CTS is innovating once again by relying on the Wizway solution. It becomes the first mobility operator to implement the Hoplink interoperability service on Android in the HCE standard, called HCIA, in compliance with the Calypso standard. All users with an Android NFC can now buy their tickets and subscriptions from their CTS mobile application, and validate very easily on all the network’s validators. The architecture of the solution also allows CTS to distribute its offer from other mobile applications, such as the SNCF Assistant. In view of future MaaS devices!

Moreover, the innovation achieved by CTS will be used by other cities: with the deployment of HCIA, a true interoperability solution between transport networks, a new milestone has been reached, enabling the 40 partner networks to be compatible with all Android NFC smartphones while respecting the Calypso standard. Wizway provides the guarantee of a future-oriented service that continuously adapts to the rapid evolution of cell phones, and the guarantee of 24/7 support to ensure the best performance and satisfaction of the CTS network users.

“We are very pleased that through our partnership with Wizway Solutions, we are able to offer more and more customers a simple and secure solution for purchasing our entire fare range, wherever an internet connection is possible. Since 2017, we have been convinced of the potential of NFC technology for intermodality solutions and that is why, through our collaboration with Wizway Solutions, we make it a point of honor to ensure that our customers can benefit from the latest developments in this technology.”

“We are very pleased to continue a collaboration with CTS that started in 2017. The commitment of the CTS teams, who are at the forefront of innovation for travelers, is very inspiring for us. More and more residents and visitors to the Strasbourg Eurometropolis are able to benefit from a simple, useful and secure mobile service, which is set to expand throughout France, and beyond.”
